Every eid, indonesians in texas gather to celebrate the big day! and two years ago, i stumble upon these tartlets that my friend made and ABSOLUTELY LOOVE!!
a recipe definitely WORTH trying! not kidding!
Hope I have time to take the pic and post it here, we always end up finishing it before I even remember to take the pic 😦
Nyummy, cute appetizers, to serve for your special guests! 🙂
1 pack (3 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup + 1 tblsp all purpose flour, divided
1 egg
1/3 cup heavy whipping cream
3/4 cup shredded Swiss cheese
1/2 cup cooked ground beef
In a small bowl, beat cream cheese & butter until smooth. Add 1 cup flour; mix well. Cover and refrigerate for one hour.
Shape dough into 18 balls. Press onto the bottom and up the sides of greased miniature muffin cups. In a bowl, whisk egg and cream. Stir in remaining flour until smooth. Add cheese and cooked ground beef; mix well.
Spoon about 1 tbsp into each cup.
Bake at 450 F for 7 minutes.
After 7 minutes, reduce the heat to 325 F and continue baking for another 17-20 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
Makes 1 1/2 dozen.
PS: You can replace the cooked beef with cooked chicken, shrimp or fish.
